My friends! We astrologers have had no shortage of big events to talk about this year. And it ain’t over yet — in many ways this is just the beginning. A new era, ruled by new elemental energies and collective planetary influence, is beginning. This Summer holds some of the most major changes we’ve seen in Astrology in decades.
Getting this podcast out a week early, so you have some time to prepare.
On July 7th, we have the final outer planet shifting signs, activating the whole sky in a new way. This is the moment that really shifts things into gear, astrologically speaking. That is Uranus’ ingress into Gemini. Another Air sign activation to fan the flames of the other fire placements across the sky in Aries. Lots here.
For the past 7 years, Uranus has been utterly destabilizing the security-loving part of the sky / our lives, moving thru Taurus. If you have strong Taurus signatures in your chart, you’ve likely felt this harder than others. Uranus’ presence can create sudden and unexpected change, making stability and reliability hard to come by. This is the arch nemesis of Taurean principles, so the degree of disruption and agitation we’ve experienced has been exaggerated for the past 7 years. Not easy to navigate.
We’ve also clearly seen this reflected in the collective economy, in regards to distribution of resources and material security. The heart of it is — change is here, whether we like it or not. Our systems don’t work anymore, ahem- capitalism - and Uranus has simply been pointing out what’s already broken.
As Uranus shifts out of Taurus for the first time in 7 years, my hope is that we get some relief + are able to rebuild a sense of security in whatever part of our life is ruled by Taurus (look at the house / planets present in your chart).
As Uranus enters Gemini on July 7th, in my opinion — the planet of sacred agitation finds a more comfortable home in this changeable, mutable air sign. Gemini is no stranger to unpredictability, and is actually quite agile when it comes to moving with disruption + CHANGE. The part of our chart/life that Gemini rules also reflects this nature a bit more clearly, so Uranus’ presence here might feel a bit more organic. No promises, but that’s my hope. We’ll learn how to move skillfully with the ever changing winds as they come.
And, it’s worth noting that all of this excess Air element could really create an exaggerated sense of ungroundedness. All the more reason to bring in somatic/embodied grounding practices. Seriously — make sure you have some relationship to centering amidst the winds, especially for my Gemini Rising/Moon homies out there.
!! Maybe renegotiate your relationship to technology especially, as Uranus in Gemini is likely just going to intensify the saturation of those already noisy circuits. »
This ingress will immediately activate the fire/air mini trine of POWER that will slowly build in intensity over the course of July + early August. This Summer is going to be HOT, and maybe a bit more bothered. Work intentionally with the Earth + Water element to ground yo ass.
