✧ WEEK AHEAD ✧ May 25th, 2025 - Gemini New Moon 🕊️🍉 Prayers

An honest look at applying the medicine of Gemini to the world as we know it. A prayer for peace, resilience, + communal support. Holding fast to hope as a memory of the future.

Hi my friends. I could not, in good conscious, share the podcast this week as if it was just business as usual. I had a lot of resistance to even coming on to share the podcast + talk about astrology, as certain parts of me have given way to despair + meaninglessness against the backdrop of a Genocide.

And yet, I know that despair is a heavy tool wielded to convince us of our powerlessness. And I don’t want to give up so easily, even if it is very easy to do right now. I want to ask the question of “how could this be different?”, rather than dying unto the way things are. Change requires this.

So the podcast this week comes in an effort to talk about the Astrology as an APPLIED inquiry of how we use these tools to help us better engage with reality, rather than distract ourselves from it. The spirit of Gemini has MUCH to teach us about how our narratives shape our experience of reality, and so I am doing my best to actively apply that here.

What is the story you’re telling yourself about reality? Is that story true? Is it even your own narrative, or one that you’ve taken on from outside influence? What experience are you having because of it?

What seems ‘fixed’ or static about reality? Where do you take things as they are, rather than get curious with how they could be different?

This moment offers us the opportunity to call upon the creative, curious, innovative imagination of Gemini within all things. The portal jumper finds the crack in reality that opens up into all possibility. The shapeshifter knows that nothing is truly fixed; nothing is as it seems. We must get mutable to discover other possibilities.

In my opinion, the moment requires this. Worldbuilding requires our imagination + creativity, which means NOT just accepting things as they are. We must go beyond what is seemingly static, to find what is possible. Hope as a memory of the future.

And — it makes sense to be tired, exhausted, zapped of capacity. We are not designed to hold the immensity of this grief on our own, and we have lost our collective grieving processes long ago. My prayer is that your own spiritual practice and hopefully your community is finding ways to hold hands as we turn to face the truth, together. May you not forget the resilience of your own Ancestors, who have survived horrors such as this — and YOU live as evidence of their survival.

You live to tell the tale of hope as a memory of the future.

For anyone interested in group Ancestor Circles, to connect with the resource of our people amidst these times, reach out. We begin in June. 6 meetings, biweekly — holding the moment together in community.
