RUNE STUDY: LESSON 1 — The Elder Futhark System & the Aetts!
Within the larger system of the 24 Runes, they are organized into three groups of 8 Runes each, fittingly called the “Aetts”. These groupings provide a very specific organization of the principles found within the Runes themselves — each group of 8 holds particular significance.
Understanding the Aetts is perhaps one of the more important foundational frameworks in this system — memorizing the groups and linear unfolding of the Aetts is a worthy effort in truly understanding the Runes as larger organizing forces in our reality.
**it should be noted that if you do not have a set of Runes, traditionally they were made from wood, bone, or stone and carved by hand! It’s a great way to come into deeper relationship with the Runes themselves as active sigils!
